IRIOSH recognizes and values the contributions of students, scientists, researchers, practitioners, and professionals across public, private, academic, and community sectors whose work advances the mission of IRIOSH. To acknowledge leadership, collaboration, research excellence, and service in occupational safety, health, labour rights, sustainability, and social justice, IRIOSH may confer professional membership or recognition in one or more categories, including but not limited to:

  • IRIOSH Global Ambassador
  • IRIOSH Global Research Fellow
  • IRIOSH Associate Member
  • IRIOSH Student Member
  • Any additional categories approved by the Board of Directors

These categories serve to strengthen global engagement, promote professional excellence, and support the advancement of IRIOSH's charitable and scientific purposes.

Eligibility:

  • Academic, professional, or leadership experience 
  • Commitment to advancing OSH globally 

Role:

  • Promote IRIOSH initiatives 
  • Support partnerships and collaborations 
  • Represent IRIOSH in academic or professional forums

Senior academics, researchers, and professionals with demonstrated expertise.

Eligibility:

  • PhD or equivalent experience 
  • Strong research or professional track record 
  • Alignment with IRIOSH mission 

Role:

  • Collaborate on research initiatives 
  • Contribute to publications, policy work, international seminars
  • Provide academic leadership and mentorship

Professionals and early-career researchers interested in contributing to OSH research and practice.

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)

Terms & Renewal

Affiliations are granted for one (1) year 

Renewal is based on: 

  • engagement 
  • contribution 
  • alignment with IRIOSH values

 All affiliates must:

  • uphold IRIOSH Code of Conduct 
  • avoid conflicts of interest 
  • represent IRIOSH professionally
