Dr. Mohd Rafee Baharudin

Chairperson, IRIOSH International Advisory Council 

Dr. Mohd Rafee Baharudin is a respected cross-regional scholar and Associate Professor at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), specializing in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, safety management, and public health. His research, publications, and professional collaborations span national and international settings, bridging academia, industry, and occupational health practice. As the Chair of the IRIOSH International Advisory Council and global ambassador, Dr. Rafee provides strategic leadership, fosters international research partnerships, and champions evidence-based approaches to strengthening occupational safety, health, and worker well-being across regions and diverse workplace contexts. 

Dr. Haitham Hamid

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council

Dr. Haitham Hamid is an accomplished geoscientist, researcher, and energy-sector executive serving as President and CEO of Quantum Exploration Ltd. in Calgary, Canada. With a PhD in geoscience, his expertise spans exploration geophysics, seismic interpretation, advanced impedance inversion, resource evaluation, and multidisciplinary energy projects. His career combines scholarly research with extensive industry leadership and international experience. As a  member of the IRIOSH International Advisory Council, Dr. Hamid contributes strategic perspectives on risk, governance, operational integrity, and evidence-based approaches to strengthening occupational safety and responsible industry practices. 

Dr. Khadizah H. Abdul-Mumin, 

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council and IRIOSH Global Ambassador

Dr. Khadizah H. Abdul-Mumin is a respected interdisciplinary health scholar and Senior Assistant Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Her academic and research expertise spans nursing, midwifery, public health, mental health, environmental health, and occupational health, with particular emphasis on healthcare professionals and workforce well-being. Her scholarship advances evidence-informed approaches to self-care, psychological well-being, workforce resilience, and sustainable health systems. As an IAC member and IRIOSH Global Ambassador, Dr. Khadizah contributes interdisciplinary expertise and fosters international collaboration toward healthier, psychologically safer, and more sustainable workplaces and communities. 

Dr. Ashish Trivedi, 

IRIOSH Global Relations and Outreach Coordinator, and Member, IAC

 Dr. Ashish Trivedi is an accomplished occupational health physician and academic with over two decades of experience in occupational medicine, workplace health, fitness-to-work assessment, research, teaching, and OSH capacity building. He serves with the Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam, and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. An author and co-author of more than 25 academic publications, his work spans occupational health, ergonomics, worker health, and workplace disease prevention. Through IRIOSH, Dr. Trivedi advances professional engagement, institutional outreach, and international collaboration in occupational health and worker well-being. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Herlina J. El-Matury

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council 

Dr. Herlina J. El-Matury, a member of the IRIOSH International Advisory Council, is an Associate Professor at the Health Institute Deli Husada Deli Tua, North Sumatra, Indonesia, and a Fellow at the University of Indonesia. She serves on the IRIOSH International Advisory Council – Indonesia. With over 20 years of experience in public health, OSH consultancy, teaching, research, and professional competency assessment, her expertise includes OSH management systems, safety culture, construction and health safety, ergonomics, disaster preparedness, epidemiology, and health systems. She is also experienced in scientific peer review, research methodology, data analysis, scientific writing, and evidence evaluation.

Dr.  Pinar BAYKAN

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Baykan is an occupational safety and health scholar, educator, and practitioner at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Türkiye, where she leads the Occupational Health and Safety Department and contributes to institutional OSH coordination. A Class B Occupational Safety Specialist with international training including NEBOSH, her expertise spans risk management, safety culture, OSH education, safety coaching, and management systems. As an IAC member, Dr. Baykan contributes academic and professional perspectives toward strengthening safety leadership, preventive culture, international collaboration, and evidence-informed approaches to safer and healthier workplaces. 

Zildawarni Binti Irwan

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council

Zildawarni Binti Irwan, a member of the IRIOSH International Advisory Council, is a Malaysian academic and Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Terengganu Branch, Bukit Besi Campus. With a background in chemistry, she is developing research and teaching interests in occupational health and safety, particularly in government policy, regulatory compliance, and awareness. Her current engagement examines how policy, education, awareness, and regulatory implementation can support safer workplaces, including practical implications of compliance in Malaysian industries. As an IRIOSH International Advisory Council member, she contributes to knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives in occupational health and safety.

Dr. Aseni Wickramatillake

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council

Dr. Aseni Wickramatillake is a distinguished occupational physician, educator, and global health advocate with expertise in occupational health, workplace wellness, and hygiene. Her professional work emphasizes the prevention of work-related illnesses, promotion of worker health, and improvement of safe and healthy working conditions across both formal and informal employment sectors. She brings a valuable occupational medicine and public health perspective to workplace health challenges. Through the IRIOSH International Advisory Council, Dr. Wickramatillake contributes multidisciplinary expertise and regional insight toward advancing prevention, worker well-being, and equitable occupational health approaches across diverse communities. 

Dr. Alex Tse Chun Kuen, DEng, FCMI, FIIRSM, CIH, CMIOSH, RSO

Member, IROSH International Advisory Council

​Dr. Alex Tse Chun Kuen is a seasoned occupational safety, health, and industrial hygiene professional from Hong Kong with over 35 years of experience. His expertise spans occupational hygiene, safety leadership, professional education, training, and OSH governance. He holds distinguished professional credentials and has contributed extensively to advancing occupational health and safety standards. As a member of the IRIOSH International Advisory Council, Dr. Alex brings extensive professional experience and global perspectives to support IRIOSH’s research, collaboration, knowledge exchange, professional development, strategic engagement, and international OSH initiatives. 

Dr. Luper Noah,

IRIOSH International Advisory Council and IRIOSH Global Ambassador

Dr. Luper Joseph Noah is a Digital Engineering and Compliance Specialist with cross-disciplinary expertise spanning engineering, project management, construction, aviation systems, and regulatory compliance. His work bridges digital technologies, digital twins, regulatory governance, and safety-critical environments, with a focus on developing audit-ready frameworks and strengthening organisational performance. Drawing on his background in avionics, engineering, and advanced project delivery, Dr. Noah advances the integration of digital innovation with robust safety and compliance systems. Through IRIOSH, he contributes technical expertise and international perspectives toward safer, resilient, and future-ready workplaces and infrastructure systems. 

Dr. Josiah Oluwaseun Odu 

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council and Global Ambassador

Dr. Josiah Oluwaseun Odu is a public health scholar, occupational health researcher, and Lecturer at McPherson University, Nigeria, with expertise in epidemiology, occupational health, workplace safety culture, and public health research. His scholarly work focuses on understanding safety culture, worker health, and workplace factors that influence occupational health outcomes across diverse settings. Alongside research, he contributes to teaching, student mentorship, and field-based public health education. As an IAC member and IRIOSH Global Ambassador, Dr. Odu advances evidence-informed research, capacity building, and international collaboration toward safer, healthier, and more resilient workplaces. 

AKM Masum Ul Alam

Member, IRIOSH International Advisory Council and Global Ambassador

Mr. AKM Masum Ul Alam is an accomplished OSH researcher, policy development expert, and academic with over two decades of experience in occupational safety and health, ESG, and social compliance, including service with the International Labour Organization (ILO). A PhD Fellow and experienced university educator, he has contributed to Bangladesh’s national OSH profile, policy review, action planning, labour reform, and OSH excellence initiatives. His work bridges research, policy, and practice. As an IAC member and IRIOSH Global Ambassador, he advances evidence-informed policy, institutional capacity, and international collaboration for safer and more sustainable workplaces.
