Dr. Arjun Kathayat is the Founder and also serves President, and Executive Director of the International Research Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IRIOSH), Canada, and is also a PhD researcher in Occupational Safety and Health at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). His research focuses on global OSH policy, risk management system

Dr. Arjun Kathayat is the Founder and also serves President, and Executive Director of the International Research Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IRIOSH), Canada, and is also a PhD researcher in Occupational Safety and Health at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). His research focuses on global OSH policy, risk management systems, and inspectorate capacity, with a particular emphasis on cross-regional comparisons between North America and Southeast Asia.

Dr. Kathayat has published peer-reviewed research in Frontiers in Public Health, including a 2025 comparative review of OSH risk management policies and a 2026 study on OSH inspector ratios and their role in strengthening workplace safety systems. His work contributes to advancing evidence-informed policy and practice in occupational health and safety.

Dr. Kathayat actively collaborates with international experts and institutions, working to bridge research, policy, and practice to support safer, healthier, and more dignified workplaces worldwide.
